TERM 2 2023

CELEBRATION DAY

At the end of Term 1 our students celebrated with screams of laughter and beaming smiles. We spent the afternoon at the Bell Block Aquatic Centre and were treated to fun inflatables and free time with our classmates. A big thank you to Jason for including the giant inflatable, where students accepted the challenge of reaching the end without making a big splash.

ANZAC DAY

At our annual school ANZAC Assembly our Junior Councillors had the privilege of placing a poppy on the photographs of fallen soldiers who had previously attended Bell Block School. In our classes we talked about the importance of ANZAC Day and we created a variety of artwork in our classrooms.

MOUNTAIN TO MAUNGA

For our Tūrangawaewae inquiry we have learnt about our local area and places that are significant, such as  Mt Taranaki. We enjoyed the Māori myth, Battle of the Mountains. Currently we are learning about our moana and its importance to us. We are integrating this with our literacy skills to research and present what we have discovered.
